The Midd Lib Bookmarklet

The easiest way to seamlessly connect to online articles, journals, databases, and other e-resources is to find them in Summon or from the Library website.

However, if you've started elsewhere, the Midd Lib Bookmarklet might help. If a journal article asks you to log in, click on the Midd Lib Bookmarklet and log in with your Middlebury username and password. If the Library has a subscription to the journal on the website that you're using, you'll be able to read the full text of the article. Important note: If we subscribe to the journal from a different provider, the bookmarklet will not direct you to it.

To install the Midd Lib Bookmarklet:

  1. Drag this button up to the bookmarks toolbar in your browser (or save it to your favorites toolbar):Reload via Midd Lib

  2. You will now see a new button in your toolbar: "Reload via Midd Lib."
  3. Now, if an online resource asks you to log in, click the Midd Lib button to reload the page and log in with your Middlebury username and password.
  4. If the Library has a subscription to the resource through the website that you're using, you will be able to view it.

Reminder: This bookmarklet will only help if the Middlebury Library has a subscription to the resource that you are using. You can reach all Library online journals, newspapers and other e-resources in Summon or the Library website. Questions? Ask a librarian!
